Anita R. Davis, CPA is the founder of Haynes, Maufus & Davis, PLLC, a full service accounting firm in Detroit, Michigan. Anita has over fourteen years of comprehensive experience in public accounting, auditing, tax planning and preparation, and business advisory services.  Her technical expertise in tax, audit and accounting along with her personal approach has allowed her to provide quality services to individuals and business owners in Michigan and throughout the country to help them become successful.

Anita, a native Detroiter, is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting.  After graduating from Michigan State University, she began her career with one of the then “Big 6” accounting firms.  At that firm, she gained extensive experience in manufacturing, non-profit, governmental and several other industries.  She was also selected to participate on a project team that developed the internal control structure for firm-wide use.  Anita later joined a Fortune 500 company where she gained extensive experience in Securities Exchange Commission Reporting and business plan development.  After serving with the Fortune 500 Company for four years, Anita became the Controller of a Detroit-based real estate development company.  Anita has been a certified public accountant since 1998.

In 2002, Anita founded Haynes, Maufus & Davis, PLLC.   The firm was established to provide the community with timely, personal and highly professional accounting services. Haynes, Maufus & Davis, PLLC emphasizes integrity, quality and service.

Anita is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants.    Anita worships at Union Grace Missionary Baptist Church where she serves on several ministries.  Anita also serves in several key positions with civic, business and nonprofit organizations.

In her leisure, Anita enjoys travel, concerts, writing, acting and spending time with family.
